On the plus side, I'm really enjoying watching Jankowski play tonight. He looks good.
Maybe they should just suck it up and put their work boots on. They get compensated like ####ing kings to play a game for a living.

engelland's really fallen off in the last 3-4 games. hamilton and gio have looked better apart from this period

Problem is... I don't think there's anything left in the tank at this point for that route.

Janko makes Millions look like a midget. He's pretty big!

He needs to toss himself into a few trash cans his system is crap the majority of the time. Especially defensively the team is absolutely clueless.

I'm pretty sure they are working hard but I also think that there problems are much deeper than putting in a 60 minute effort. Personally I think management has vastly over rated this team. Mix that with a system that is painful to watch.

There was talk, says Roger Millions, that Monahan was going to sit tonight. He didn't mention that the talk came only from him.

Terrible spacing by the Flames - puck carriers constantly left with no easy outlets. Watch the best teams, who generate the most off the rush, and it's all easy 5 to 7 foot passes to get out of the zone.

There's a thread on CP about sitting Monahan, so there's that.

The most frustrating thing for me right now is the offence. They're just completely inept on every level. Embarrassing PP, bad passes, stupid decisions with the puck, no creativity, constantly shooting wide, and not moving their feet. During the last two seasons these guys were often able to score at will, and I always had confidence that we could come back in games like this.

Then we get to this season and I honestly can't remember a single game where we've actually looked dangerous offensively, even when Johnny was in the lineup. Lately whenever we go down 1-0 or 2-0 early, I have zero confidence that the Flames can answer back. It's incredibly frustrating.

I've loved Ferland's game this year. Easily the most improved Flame from a year ago.

That was great from Ferly.

He crushes Pelech, then the puck goes around to the other Isles defenceman who jumped out of the way of Ferland coming in a 2nd time, leading to a turnover and a scoring chance.
