Its time to send a message. Brodie, gaudreau and monohan should be scratched for a game.

And how does this solution work? They suddenly start feeling more confident and playing better after being benched?

Despite the awful start, they're second in the division if they beat the Ducks tonight. Too bad there is absolutely zero chance they're beating the Ducks. Easiest money in sports, I bet $100 to win $50 on Anaheim tonight. If I lose that bet, good.

What's the best safe online site where I can make bets like that? Time for me to start betting against the flames as well for free money.

Who coaches Stockton? They look like they're having fun.

At the end of the game Trelivings face appeared on the jumbotron and called him out to center of the ice circa late 1990s WWE style call out. Cameron drove out on a zamboni to some limpbitzkit music followed by a swagger walk to center ice. Trelivings told him he was fired to which Cameron responde, "you can't fire me....I run this show". Just then there was the sound of broken glass and Gio came out of the locker room skating at full speed. He delivered a jumping patented stunner leaving Cameron in a heap at center ice. He picked up the microphone and replied to the motionless Cameron..."No, I run this show". He then cracked two beers while skating around the rink to some Johnny Cash.

Wow...that got away from me fast...dare to dream I guess.

You gotta think Treliving is quite concerned right now, if by nothing else than by the horrific power play. He has said numerous times how important the PP is and how that needs to be improved.

I think the coaching staff should sit down for a few beers with the core players and ask, wtf? What do you need from us? Here's what we need from you. Not a players only meeting. More of a leaders meeting. Encourage everybody to lead by example.

What could it hurt? Maybe they've already done something like this. I don't know.

Heaven forbid we put
- what has been the best 4th line the flames have seen in years back together
- leave tkachuk backlund and frolik together from start to finish
- quit tinkering lines to benefit Johny and mony and force them to play out of it
- leave the same d pairings as what worked in SJ
- not bench Bennett for playing with an edge when there are 2 other fwds playing to half their potential.

I fully expect a win tonight only to save GG. If the flames get blown out I fire Cameron. GG has at least implemented a system putting us close to 500. Cameron has done absolutely nothing unless making the PP and PK a comedy counts.

The Stockton Heat were up 2-0 after five minutes last night. Why were they prepared to play and the big club wasn't?

Maybe they need to stop experimenting, mixing up pairing, switching guys up and find a real player for Johnny and Monahan on the first line! Just when the team has a win and some stability they go and change up the lines.

Most coaches lean on the team vets to help them accomplish goals and work with he young guys but it seems like the vets getting moved around has them focusing on problems instead of goals. I still think a lot of this is on some players who started the season with some very poor efforts, but the coaches have not helped by keeping things consistent.

I don't agree that the solution is to scratch them. Brodie and Gaudreau have been equal parts blah and good over the last little stretch, while Monahan has just been poo. I would, however, start giving the Monahan line less minutes and way easier cushy starts until it sunk in.

Just a little morning perspective:

9 points separate the top of the Western Conference from the basement. 6 points separate third in the Western Conference from the basement. The Flames sit right in the middle of the second group.

The inconsistent start has been very frustrating and disappointing. But despite seeing only glimpses of the team's potential, things could be much worse. There's lots of time to turn things around. I hope we see that happen sooner rather than later, as I'm sure everyone here does.
