When was the last time the Flames actually had a decent powerplay? I think there might have been one year under Keenan where it was good, and then you have to go all the way back to the 80s?

Someone please tell me, because it feels like it's been an issue forever.

Hurricanes showed how you power play... We keep two high, they keep 1 high.

They have way more options to rotate with the puck and find easy one timers, deflections, rebounds when you do that. Not to mention when you have another guy down low you have less rebounds that get cleared..

We pass around down low a couple times to draw the aggressive skater down low and pass to the point and if first pass doesn't have a shot they pass to the other point and shoot or pass back down low and repeat unless 1 out of 10 times an opposing player lost his man and we get lucky.

Rotate one of the pointmen low and we have a power play that fits the style and creativity of this team.

Why are we trying to set up the powerplay in a position that forces us to make low percentage passes through the opposition? How much of a moron is our powerplay coach?

We are literally stagnant and not moving.
