The one tie up I had on how awesome this last show would be was figuring the small venue would make it less big and powerful as a last concert, but this crowd is easily making as much noise as fifteen thousand people in the previous shows.
Incredible crowd.

I always used to wonder why and get a little mad the Hip never blew up world wide like they should have.
At this point I'm actually glad they never did, they are ours, and you really have to be a Canadian to understand what that means. I don't know if there is another country which could have something be "theirs and only theirs" in the same way Canada can, with the US being the global cultural force it is, and the similarities between our cultures and the Canadian state of constantly wondering how to be different, or what makes us different.
The Hip have inserted themselves right into the middle of that conversation.

Pearl Jam did a tribute to Gord and the Hip tonight at their concert in Chicago.
FYI, both bands played Sunfest in Gimli one year as co headliners.
