So, why does Bondarenko automatically win the bronze in the high jump? He tied with three other jumpers at the same height.

Yup. Tactical error

He already had 2.36 and the Ukranian didn't. So clearing 2.38 would have accomplished nothing. All it did was risk elimination, which is of course what happened.

Once the Ukranian passed at 2.38, the Qatar dude should have as well.

As a big basketball/soccer fan who doesn't watch a lot of women's sports, it's been a lot of fun to watch Canada. Well coached with up and coming stars like Beckie and Nurse, it's really exciting that we could medal in both and the future is bright. Obviously men's soccer will never make it to this level but hopefully Wiggins and crew can get it together and bring us to an elite level (we're currently ranked 26th, behind international powerhouses like Tunisia and Nigeria).

The names on the French basketball jerseys are bugging me. Some have their names completely in the grey, some on the white, and one has her name halfway in each colour.

Dammit, France. Get your #### together.
