That push/crosscheck happened at the hashmarks, and it wasn't all that hard. He certainly didn't make any effort to not hit the goalie. And then he was lying on top of him when he knocked it in.

I'm rooting for the Sharks, but that was no goal.

I don't think we can underestimate how much a slight knock on a player skating on ice at full speed can affect them. I think in that situation, any little bump on Pavelski is going to propel him a fair distance. And lets not exaggerate, it wasn't 10 feet. It was a foot at most.

You'll never truly know, because Pavelski will swear till he's blue in the face that he can't avoid contact there. But I'd be interesting to see if he truly couldn't avoid it or not, because I reckon he couldn't. Still, I don't think anyone outside of San Jose are going to be disappointed that this game is carrying on.

The reason is for a dry ice scraping and that is the only commercial time in overtime. Good time to get more beer.

You are correct, it is much harder to turn at high speed. Much like a car the center of gravity is higher at faster speed during rotation and thus it is easier to lose balance. Things happen similar to when Wideman took a leap through the air.

Sharks have dominated the last half of this OT. Preds can't withstand this forever.

Who was the last defenseman to get a hat trick in a playoff game? Cuthbert said Burns could be the first in 16 years, but didn't mention who that mystery from 2000 was.

Or maybe he did, but I didn't hear him.

That is true. The strange thing is that the Predators have won the majority of the faceoffs.

Easily a top 5 all time OT that I have ever seen. What pace and action. Goalies standing on their heads, chances galore... cannot ask for a better playoff OT.

It was Andy delmore I think he said.

Yup. 99/00 playoffs with Philly.

Ha. Of course it was. I was thinking Niklas Lidstrom or Rob Blake or someone like that, but nope, the legend of Andy Delmore.

It's a real treat to hear Chris Cuthbert call a game after that Paul Romanuk mess.

Hope this next OT is like the last one.

After four periods, the shots are 38-31. The Predators out shot the Sharks 11-9 in the fourth period.

Calling a Burns point shot beating Rinne, bringing back deja vu of Seabrook's point shot last year.
