I can't stand the frigging Lightning. Now that idiot Myshkin gets to call another series. Guy is an absolute clown!!!

You'd have to go back to the 80s. They've only won 4 series since 1989. Two of them ended in OT, and the other two were one-goal leads until the Flames scored a late empty net goal.
Even the Final in 89 was tight until late in Game 6.

Haha, yeah, all I've been thinking as these playoffs progress is how our best options keep having inedible playoffs and now likely won't be options or will be a lot more expensive in the off season.

If there's a positive in all of this... James Reimer's price-tag hasn't gone up any more since the season ended.
I guess that's a positive if you're a fan of Reimer (I am).

I think Treiling wills till acquire one of these guys and I'm glad they're playing well in the playoffs instead of all ####ting the bed. Bodes will for Flames future.

I feel like the Islanders are one of those teams that is stuck in playoff purgatory. They are good enough to make the postseason, but not good enough to make a run. Even if they got past a superior Tampa team, they weren't going to beat Pittsburgh or Washington.
They only have two years left of Tavares at a bargain $5.5 million AAV. I'm curious if their general manager takes more of a win now approach because of it. Maybe others see it differently, but if they don't add some significant pieces, I see this team getting over the hump without a big move.

With new ownership coming in , I think it would be the perfect opportunity to sack Snow. Other than the summer they got Boychuk and Leddy he tends to sit on his hands during the off-season and at the trade deadline despite icing a mediocre team. Also, the fact he has kept Capuano around for so long shouldn't help his cause. I wonder if getting lucky and beating the inexperienced Panthers will be enough to save their jobs.
Apparently McPhee is involved in Islanders management, so wouldn't be shocked if he takes over.

Exactly!...I think this is amazing as now each team can feel confident they have an expendable G... Jake in STL, Fleury in PIT and Vasilebskiy in TBL...doesn't this likely make one of these 3 have a slightly lesser asking price now, potentially!

No kidding as the Wings were the worst team to make the playoffs and the Islanders were the worst team to make it out of the first round. Has to be the easiest path in a long time but credit to the Lightning for taking care of business. That easy path ends now though and they will be tested against the Penguins or Capitals.
