I'm a little sad that an active playoff thread made it to the 2nd page, but maybe that's due to 2 days off between games.
Both teams will be well rested after 3 games in 4 nights. Luongo was quoted as saying he really needed the rest. Looks like 36 years of age catches up to you at this point of the season. I don't know how Jagr still does it.
Vincent Trocheck is close, but will not play tonight for the Panthers. However, Steven Kampfer is available, but will be a game time decision. I wouldn't be surprised to see him or Jakub Kindl in the lineup over Petrovic, who has struggled to move the puck quickly or handle the Islanders' forecheck well.
Doesn't look like there will be any lineup changes for the Islanders.
Panthers have suffered some bad luck in their two losses. Islanders have dominated the special teams battle so far, with a 85% PK and a 33% PP. Panthers need to do better in that area to take back momentum in the series, as they are the better team 5 on 5.
This is a gut check game for this young team. I think they have it in them to rise up, but we'll have to see how it goes tonight. Going back home tied at 2 for a pivotal game 5 is a good situation to be in. Going back home down 3-1 with a possible elimination on the line in game 5 is a very bad situation to be in. They really have to play a spotless game tonight.
Let's Go Panthers!!!

The Following User Says Thank You to Cali Panthers Fan For This Useful Post:
Am I the only one still cheering for the Panthers?
Wow, that bandwagon emptied pretty quickly.
I have them losing in the cup final to Nashville at the shock of all my co-workers but I actually believe that they can make the final round this year if they get past NYI. I like how the team is built and am hoping for Jagr to lift it one last time even though I have the preds beating them in my pool.
Also picked up Smith in a different pool... Please advance, please advance, please advance!
As an Oshawa Generals fan, I have no choice but to cheer for the Islanders.
Dont blame ya there, Tavares obviously, but de Haan and Clutterbuck as well, three big pieces of that core team all with pretty awesome Generals careers, especially Johnny T and that 134 sophomore season.
Looks like Greiss leapt out and landed on Huberdeau's knee there. ####ing #######. Not intentional, but kinda stupid to thrust your shoulder into an incoming player.

No goal, guess they ruled that Huberdeau crashing the net caused the collision.
I'm ok with that as it didn't look like Pullock caused the collision, but it was Huberdeau going hard to the net. You can't push the puck and the goalie into the net.
