I've been mulling over this idea for the past week, what if the Walking Dead crew reveals who got Negan'd in the Comic-con trailer. Season 7 begins with the aftermath and the new order.
I think that would be too much of a reveal for a trailer. Maybe they show Negan and Lucille with blood dripping off her, or blood on the ground, but the won't reveal who, it would be too much.

But would it appease the supposed p'od crowd because of the cliffhanger? Gain some fans back and rebuild interest going into S7?

Exp:
I think the only two things that should be said are one of:
"They revealed who got Lucilled in the comicon trailer."
"They did not reveal who got Lucilled in the comicon trailer."
I've already had it spoiled for me; I wouldn't want somebody coming in here unsuspecting. This thread is for people to discuss the TV show; independent of what happens elsewhere. The comics are not the only potential source of spoilers; so that doesn't make the other sources fair game.
Even if you've had it spoiled there's no reason to think they won't change it up.
Anyway, at the risk of repost, did anyone know how good the guy who plays Aaron is at impressions? This is insane.

Cmon...people love to complain about TWD but everyone will tune in for the premiere.
Honestly if they revealed something so major in the preview, i'm not sure I would. Well I would eventually but I wouldn't worry about watching it live, or even that night.
Not sure but hot damn I'm beyond excited, makes me forget the cliffhanger. Looks like Dwight (?) took over daryl's vest. Or it could just be a random vest.

I'm not going to start getting into that crap with almost 3 months to go, I'll start driving myself insane.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
that article had a related link about them auditioning henry rollins for negan. while i thought JDM did good, it would have been nice to have rollins on there. though maybe a distraction as i would just think about him being a singer the whole time.
as far as the preview goes, i think i am going to avoid watching it as well to just prevent myself from over analyzing. years back when the office was my favorite show, i was all about spoilers and seeing who was going to be guest starring and all that, but it made me think about the show too much. once i just started watching the episodes i enjoyed it more. i have taken that approach since and i feel that i get better value out of the shows i like.
Rollins would have brought a completely different energy - that would have been interesting. More "IN YOUR FACE" crazy instead of slow simmering crazy that JDM brings.
The build up first to the wolves and then to Negan just got to me over the course of the last two seasons - it seems like the show isn't focused on what's happening, but what's going to happen. I dunno - after binging it, last season was a drag. That and Fear the Walking Dead make we wonder if I'm going to keep up with this franchise or not.
