For sure, but it's a minimal risk without having to give up any assets. Can't hurt to try. I like taking chances like this.

It sort of seems like the Flames have been quite persistent on the people they choose to go after. They have been "going hard" on quite a few assets lately.

I wonder what "going hard" actually means. Does it mean tons of phone calls? Lots of contact? Aggressive offers?

Whatever it is, I like it.

Good chance he makes the team or will he likely start in Stockton like Nakladal?

Ok are we sure he's ever played Centre or Right Wing? I don't want to be goofed again.

nice!

don't want to make too much out of it, because who knows if he can make the transition. However, i like the idea of signing a guy with potential upside and no downside (ie giving up a pick or a prospect)...

Nakladal is a guy that looks pretty good imo... if Pribyl can contribute at that level, i don't see any negatives for the flames at all

Total guess from me, but I'm assuming unless he bombs he stands a pretty good chance of starting with the big club. The depth on RW is......almost no depth. That's the difference with Nakladal, the blueline is a strength so they could let him simmer in Stockton.

It's probably a good reason why Pribyl would sign with the Flames. Looked at the depth chart on the right side and realized it's a great opportunity for him.

I like that he's 23. If he works out he's young enough to be around for a while.

Is he really 238lbs? Big boy if he is.

HC Sparta Praha lists him at about 6'3 and 216lbs. (190 cm and 98 kg.) And yeah, at that age there should be some development left in him.

Range is somewhere between 189 and 238 depending on the site. The Sparta website lists him as 216 lb though...so that's probably the best number to estimate with.

By whom and how were you previously duped, and what were you duped about?

I'm assuming he's referring to the Feaster/Weisbrod/Cervenka situation.

Awesome! Happy to hear the news.

Best of luck Daniel. Would be awesome to have you as a top 6 RW for the team at some point next season!

Would not mind this signing at all. We have one right winger on the team in Frolik. Frolik is probably best served as a third line player, excellent third line player though.

Love the guys size and point totals. A little Monny and Johnny to assist a new right winger?

Lots of opportunity for this kid.

I think he's meaning from a thickness perspective. Pribyl seems to be built like a tank.
