I'm not alone in thinking that a stick slashed out of the hands shouldn't be a penalty, right? It shouldn't be a penalty just because you can't hold onto your stick.

Dropped stick =\= penalty
Broken stick = penalty

I'd say it should depend. Shouldn't be okay to just try and knock a players stick out of their hands as a defensive move, especially on a breakaway. But since Vanek also played the man on that play as well I'm not upset about it
