Been watching every major for about 20 years now, and I'm certain I've never seen two men play at that sustained level in a final round duel. Woods-May in 2000 comes to mind, but all I can say is wow. Shot after shot of greatness.
Stenson had to have made at least 150 feet worth of putts today, which is probably more than a lot of the field made this week. He also had two three putts on his 63 as well so it could have been even more special, but still the greatest round ever I think. Not easy conditions out there, but he finally had the putting to go with his usual ball striking clinic.

Ya, thanks to all the apps that stream now and a very quiet office at work this week, I watched more of this Open than ever before. Thought it was fantastic this year.
I love pulling for Lefty, but was not upset in the least to see Stenson finally win a major. Well deserved, and what a round. Incredible. That 51 foot putt for birdie was unbelievable.
I wish Shaughnessy in Vancouver would get more Canadian Opens where the winning score is typically only a few strokes under par. I dunno- maybe the longer flight would deter even more players from coming over straight after the Open. One of the worst spots on the calendar. Thank goodness for RBC sponsorships though, which give it a fairly decent field.

And I believe they just re-upped for another six years.

I would like to see the tournament moved around the country more instead of primarily being in Ontario.
