The Under 23s have some awesome forwards, but their D is going to get shredded.
Team Europe's D is substantially better than the Under 23s.
And when you're playing Team Canada, Team USA, Team Sweden, or Team Russia, you might want to have a good group of defensemen (and a good goalie)

Sure, but their forwards are on the whole @ a consistently lower level than every other team, and it is not even close.
