I found that when the Habs penetrated the zone you'd find Semin was all over the place.

Perhaps if/when he's reinserted into the lineup they'll find a position where he can slip a few past the keeper.

I don't think the Habs are all that worried - they knew going in Semin washes out.

He always seems like a selfish player to me. With silky smooth hands like that I guess you could understand why he only seemed to want to play with himself.

That might be a sticking point when he shakes hands for his next contract, wherever that may be.

A move to his native Russia should do him good. If he can sort out a few dietary issues & play in some less constricting equipment he might regain some of the explosiveness which he had when he was younger. I really expect to see Semin make a serious mark on the face of the KHL.

Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to remember the NHL career of a man unlike any other in the league.
A man of many talents, but probably best known for the amazing things he did with his stick.
A man whose name was on people's lips every time he scored.
A man who didn't need an open net to shoot at; he could work his magic with the tiniest hole.
A man who truly enriched the game. Not only a fertile offensive player, he gave of himself unsparingly. Every time he played, he left it all on the ice.
A man who improved his teammates. He left a little bit of himself in everyone he played with.
A man who produced in spurts, but towards the end, slowed down to a trickle.
A man like Julius Caesar: he came, he saw, he conquered. At any rate, he came.
A man who erected his own monument.
His like will not come again. We hope.
