I'm sitting in row 16 and I'd be hard pressed to poke somebody with a broomstick.

Flames started off the first few minutes well, but two unnecessary penalties took the momentum away. The only one noticeable a is Ferland, and the lineman

Not a great period, but Ramo was atrocious. His rebound control has been beyond brutal.
For those saying the defense isn't covering anyone - true, but you can't play the entire time just wrapping up the other guy. Ramo keeps misplaying the rebounds, which is turning the defensive zone play into a mad scramble.
It simply isn't good enough.
There is no defense that can cover for goaltending that is that bad.

It is a house of cards. They are basically paid to be there.
They have few fans in the arena not there for the visiting team, cheap tickets and microscopic regional tv ratings. No real hockey revenues.

Good news is, the Flames should be able to pot another 2-3 goals against this Panthers team. Just gotta keep the puck out of the net.

D can get to rebounds just as easily as opposing F and can also tie them up

No. He still let in a bunch of softies, and hardly won them the games. Average at very best.
Why can't you guys just admit he sucks? What is it with the Ramo defenders? I don't get it

I'm at a loss why the league would expand instead of relocating teams that can't even draw a paltry crowd. Its not like this was a 7pm start with people running late.

He is not a great goalie but both goals tonight were not his fault IMO. His job is to stop the puck, which he did, our defense and forwards have to not stand around doing nothing.

So long as the ownership group is happy remaining in Florida, the NHL and the BOG will have their back. Paltry crowds are better, in their mind, than relocating a franchise.
