That one hurts the most, soft call. Specially after Getzlaf went after Bouma with a much more obvious slash earlier in the period. Can't believe one gets called while they let the other one go. BS officiating all post season.

They were calling tricky tack stuff in the first two periods though. I'm more disappointed in how they played the OT and last few minutes as they just tried to hold on in a game they had to win. Not sure why they didn't skate in OT but it's tough to be disappointed when you consider how far they came this season and how entertaining it was.

Can't say i'm too upset about the loss. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever thing we'd be playing the Ducks in game 5 of the second round. They gave it their all and in the end they lost to a much better team.

Amazing season for the boys, so crazy so proud of the team! As Flames fan I must admit I didn't realize you could win a round and not go to the finals

I think we saw the value for the young guys there at the end, starting to experience what it takes. In the last two games we led 3 times and lost all 3 leads. Learning how to close those out in big games against the leagues best is the next step, and you don't get to learn it without failing first. Such a valuable experience for our young team!

On another note this team is incredible. Just incredible. Did everything they possible could and more. Got so far! We'll be back with way more to show and prove. I hope we get the Ducks again and smoke them to Kingdom come. Their team deserved to advance, but their pitiful fanbase did not. Just going to be honest. The C of Red was incredible once again. A true hockey fan base. I see a cup contender on the horizon here for years to come! GO FLAMES GO.
Refs decided to call everything. I did not think Backlund's penalty is warranted. That was a tapped in and not a slash. Still he should have known better with the way the refs was calling the penalties tonight. I did not think Colborne's penalty in front of the net was warranted either. 2 goals on those borderline penalties was hard to swallow.

Oh well, it was a good run for the Calgary Flames. I am sure they gained a lot of respects from a lot of teams and the media this season. Very proud to be a Flames fan.

Huge - R E S P E C T - for Flames, what a terrific year.

I am curious if we will see a real injury report, I think both Monahan and Hudler were playing with significant injuries.

Not much to say. Very proud of our guys and how hard the fought every game, all season long. Although we lost I think this run has been invaluable for our young core players.

Can't wait for next year!

Don't really like the Hawks but hate the Ducks...Hawks are by far the lesser of two evils. I know "hate" is such a strong word, but it is genuinely how I feel towards players like Perry, Kesler and Beauchamin.

This team needs to make some adjustments, especially in the size department, if they want to beat Anaheim or a similar top end team. It was a great year, but still a huge work in progress. Go get a good player at #15, and a few more in the 2nd and third rounds and work the phones and UFA market to make some trades and come back even better next year.

Meh. Going into this season if anyone had told me the Flames would have made the 2nd round of the playoffs, I'd be more than happy with that.

Great season Calgary Flames! Supposed to be in the McDavid sweepstakes and get into the 2nd round. I'll take it.

Thanks for a fantastic season!

I fully expected the Flames to lose in 4 or 5, but I didn't expect it to hurt this much.

This team really got you to believe. I'm excited about actual hockey again, and not the off-season.

This is why I'm a fan. I hope there is more to come.

I hate that gutless puke!

Here's hoping the Hawks take out the Ducks in the conference finals!

I like what Stajan said. The Ducks have felt this sting the last few years.

It's true. The Flames are going to learn so much from this experience.

Go Hawks!

What a fun season. Will be one of the most memorable one in franchise history. This shouldn't have happened.

The future was already extremely bright with their success in the regular season alone. Now that they've gotten to play playoff hockey in May, it can only make it brighter since they're getting experience that they're weren't suppose to get in years from now. I'm looking forward to Flames hockey going this late into the season (and beyond) more frequently in the upcoming seasons.

I love us. We talk about respecting the other team. We talk about character. The other guys, and the coverage, show not much respect for the Duck's opposition. I will truly enjoy having the satisfaction of beating the "unsustainable" haters again next year.
