i don't believe they have ever used anything but regular jerseys in the playoffs. Not sure if it's a rule. Just an observation.
Edit: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_jersey
Teams are also allowed to wear their third jerseys as often as desired in the Stanley Cup Playoffs; however, they may only wear two uniforms during the playoffs. Examples of teams who wore third jerseys in the playoffs include the Dallas Stars (during the 1999 Stanley Cup Finals), the San Jose Sharks, the Anaheim Ducks, the Minnesota Wild, the Washington Capitals, and the Toronto Maple Leafs.
I saw a bunch of dudes with flag poles at game 4. No one got upset because they only waved em during stoppages. You go thru a metal detector, but there is no pat down.
I take that as you can bring a non-metal pole down your pant leg.
So I'm assuming that if it needs to be in my pants then it probably isn't allowed then?
Anyone taking the train from the south, heads up there is a shuttle between fish creek and Chinook due to track maintenance. Going to be a slow ride in.
Since the retro is no longer a full time jersey, no.
They could do 3rds, but doubt we see that. Although Washington did today.
I could be wrong, but I think I saw somewhere that it's an actual rule that a team has to settle on one jersey for home and one jersey for away for the playoffs, so I don't think they have the option to wear their thirds.
Also Washington seemed to phase out their old white jersey's in favour of their thirds. Wouldn't be shocked if a red version came out next year. IMO they're way nicer than their regular ones.
OMG, those videos have got me super pumped up right now. Waiting for 2 more hours is tough. So fun!
