He's also a completely different player when asked to sustain that for more than a few games and when he's not playing a D that consists of Musil, Marincin, Schultz, Klefbom, Davidson and Aulie. The kid has talent but he didn't look very good in his first game up and scored a couple against the Oilers. Very similar to his showing with the Flames. Until he shows that he can maintain it, I'll be doubtful.

How does that even happen? Aren't you taught in peewee to take the pass away? I'm always just shocked to see professionals doing that. Every goalie I talk to prefers to face only the shooter and have the pass option covered.

Naw.
His speed isn't anything special. Playoffs are all about tight checking, desire and will to win. Goals usually aren't pretty, and missed assignments are usually the difference. Bottom line Baertschi is the complete opposite of everything the playoffs is about and stands for. He's the ultimate antithesis of a playoff player. To say nothing about the fact he's a mental midget.
Pretty sure Willie Desjardins is a pretty astute guy though and won't be dumb enough to actually play Baertschi in the playoffs.
