Waiver claims are not bold. Cheap, easy and no real risk...but not bold.

pfft... MacTavish has already proclaimed that young d-men is an organizational strength.. he can't back up that bold statement by picking up waiver fodder.

I don't think that's how it works ... waivers are strictly based on league position and teams don't lose that position when they claim somebody anymore, I believe.

yes. You don't loose waiver position if you claim a player off waivers.

Yeah, you can always tighten up your waiver position.

Rene Bourque back on waivers again:
@CruickshankCH: Former #Flames LW Rene Bourque, Anaheim, and D Keith Aulie, Edmonton, on waivers.

If that's the case, Edmonton is definitely not so smart.

Some fans in Chicago are irritated that this means that the 'Hawks have NOTHING to show for moving Morin...but...IMO, Morin didn't answer any needs that the 'Hawks had, his one NHL level specialty, apparently being, shooting pucks right into opposition goaltender's crests.

To be fair I'm a little surprised they couldn't get even a low pick for him.

Toronto looks good on you, Tom.

Again, how good does the Erixon trade look now?

This feels like a move Toronto would make.

My eyes scanned the board and I saw this headline and I was like, 'yup, that's sounds right.'

I was thinking that the Oil might have given Erixon a no risk look-see.
Oh well .....

Tom told Toronto media that he is hoping for some stability after playing for 3 teams this year.

Eat it Tom, you deserve nothing in the NHL.
