This game is a great example of why possession stats are worth paying attention to. We don't have the puck, we're losing badly.

The one worrisome thing is that every time we've lost like this (playing like absolute garbage) we go on a skid. We lose a couple more in a row and theres a good chance were back in a fight for a playoff spot again.

It's not that big of a difference in my opinion. They are getting outplayed, but have had a few great scoring chances.

We were highly out possessed by the Sharks and most people would still say we controlled that game. While I don't disagree with the assessment of tonight's game, single stats, advanced or not, rarely ever tell the full story
