Having the depth on hand. Not an easy trek from Adirondak to CGY. Ask Ortio.
And with these three, there was a pretty big winter storm hitting the East coast.

Ya I guess you have a point there. The news of the farm team moving to the west should help this.

There was also concern about the big storm that was about to hit the east. If the Flames had had an injury, and then couldn't get anyone out of NY due to the storm, they would have been hooped. So they brought them up as insurance.

Adirondack hasn't played a game since they were called up. Addy's next game is Saturday... so they haven't really missed out by being called up and being healthy scratched.

Wolf by a long shot:

Wolf - 7G, 2A in last 10 games
Baertschi - 3G, 3A in last 10 games
Wotherspoon - 1G, 2A in the last 10 games

No, not yet.

However, the Addy Flames play Saturday and then go on to play 4 games in 7 days. If the players are just going to keep getting time in the Press Box, then it might start being a question of where they should be to actually play.

We're going to see Wolf on Saturday, book it. Bollig played less than 10 mins. Wouldn't be surprised to see Baertschi as well over Raymond, who I noticed was playing 4th line by the end of the game last night.

They are the most likely candidates. The only thing in Raymond's favor is that Hartley still was playing him at the end of the game, and that he scored a hat trick against the Oilers. But you are probably right.

Like I said in the Byron thread, bring back the Baertschi - Jooris - Byron line. Wolf and Wotherspoon should get a shot too. Wouldn't hurt to let them play a game, especially against the Oilers.

Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler
Colborne - -Backlund - Jones
Baertschi - Jooris - Byron
Wolf - Stajan - Bouma
Raymond, Bollig

Giordano - Brodie
Russell - Wideman
Wotherspoon - Diaz
Engelland

If Glencross is back, I expect Wolf to be the first call over Sven.

As much as I love Bouma, I do not love him in our top 6. Would rather have Jooris up there than him. These are good lines.
