Byron is terrible lately. Probably can afford to hang out in the press box for a while.

Tied at two after that joke of a period is highway robbery by the flames. Better take advantage of that.

He is what he is, a PKer/energy guy who needs to be put in positions to succeed. I thought his shorthanded assist in the Detroit game to Backlund was huge.

Johnny needs to pass less. He's the best offensive player on our team I would say. Great shot, incredible acceleration, incredibly turning radius, elite vision; pass less, shoot more. He needs to be more selfish. He so often passes off after a great move to change the play around and then the guy he passes to immediately kills the offensive chance.

That was awful hockey from the Flames. The Panthers are a decent team, but they made the Flames look pitiful.
Weirdly, Montoya has been really solid for the Panthers all year, but the Flames seem to be his kryptonite. I kinda feel bad for him.
Huberdeau is playing really well right now. Glad to see him pick up his offensive game.
(Sorry, I still cheer for both teams, and the Flames don't deserve any praise after that period).

This game is hard to watch, I'm very surprised it is 2-2. New, 2 period game here. Flames need to pick it up.
I'm at the game and trying to watch Ekblad, he doesn't look like a 1st year guy. Loads of poise and seems to have an ok veteran group around him. His future is very bright!

I credit Mitchell, and to a lesser extent Campbell, for teaching him how to play in the NHL. The entire defense group has been better since Mitchell arrived. Kulikov has been really good playing with him and both Gudbranson and Olsen have found a very solid NHL quality game under his tutelage. He'll likely be a coach when he retires. I wanted to hate him from his time in Vancouver, but he's such a professional and a very underrated leader. Probably the most important free agent signing Tallon made this year.
