I think they mean like saying "great to see Hartley has them ready, this is why they didn't extend him yet" just about every time they get scored against.
The different opinions about various players is fine IMO. The love certain players get without merit on here sometimes is mindbottling, like confines my mind to a bottle.

Flames are playing like a young team right now, not quite ready for prime time, which is fine. Decent period, good effort, making in-confident mistakes that are costing them.

I have to admit, it's getting a little depressing watching the team of late. Everything that can go wrong, is going wrong. Hopefully they come back with a strong remaining 40 minutes and pull out a win.

Yes, I agree it's pretty hard sometimes to step back and look at players without the homer glasses on. I too am guilty of it.
