Or, he's trying to get some more money out of you by saying what you'd like to hear...
He said he had enough of the 9 year on going rebuild. Had zero faith the team would go anywhere with Katz as the owner.

I've known the guy for close to 12 years and I have never heard him so angry about his beloved Oilers. Besides, living in Calgary and telling everyone he was an Oilers fan got him lots of friendly abuse from his co workers and friends

Ferland is an important part of this team. He is big, he can skate reasonably well, and most importantly he finished checks.

Him, Jooris, and Grandlund should be done with Abbotsford IMO.

I really really like Ferland.

Strombolopolous took a shot at Healy when doing highlights and Johnny's goal came up.

So many things going right for us that it's as if the hockey gods all pulled Flames jerseys on.

My dad is the same. Diehard Oilers fan since the wha merger. But last year he bailed.

His words: "If I want to be alive the next time my team wins the cup.... I need a new team."

He's 100% Boston now

Man... What are we going to do when Raymond/Colborne/Backlund/Stajan come back? For once we have amazing forward depth.

Glencross seems to be battling a nagging minor injury. David Jones made of glass. Send Sven and Knight down.

Giordano, 6 goals and 25 points, is 1st in the NHL in scoring by a defenseman and Brodie, 6 goals and 19 points, is 2nd. Gaudreau, 4 goals and 17 points, is 2nd in rookie scoring. Hudler is 14th overall in the NHL in scoring with 11 goals and 23 points.

This team is so much damn fun!
Brodie has 21 points.

Realistically Backlund is still out a while with his surgery. So we have 3 players coming back soon...ish?

Dump one of Bollig/McGrattan (1), send Baertschi down (2), send Knight down (3).

Great team performance.

I'll say it again, I can't believe how good TJ Brodie has become.

I actually remember those games.
I totally remember that too because I even cut out the front page of the newspaper that had was headlined with Vernon recording that back to back and had it on my wall for years. He was awesome. I hope Ramo keeps it up and remains the guy going forward too, have always liked him even when he played for TBay and am excited for what he can do for our Flames over his career.

The Flames played a complete game tonight. This season is absolutely incredible. Tonight it dawned on me, this team isn't going anywhere. They are actually just a really good team. Hats off to Hartley, he's done a wonderful job with this group.

The thing that scares me (in a good way) is that this team might be the most raw skilled team that the Flames have had since the Gilmour trade and we're supposed to be rebuilding. Just amazing depth both in terms of skill and effort. It feels like we've skipped the two years where the young guys were supposed to figure out how to play effectively in the NHL and are going right into being a playoff team right away.

This is all without 2 of our 4 top prospects in the lineup (Poirier and Bennett)

What is going on.

I was content to wait, I still am, I thought it would take 4 - 5 years for the team to really rebuild. They needed to dump some salary and bad contracts they were left with amongst other things. And they needed to draft, they needed to scope out and land decent mid tier guys to fill spots. They are doing all that.

The reality is though, at this point, they are farther along in terms of depth and intelligence than I thought they would be. They might be a team that can run in the playoffs without having to resort to dumb deals.

There is so much upside, and still no reason to rush.

The only thing I would add is another D-man, but even there it's not a big deal to do it during the season. Maybe sign a decent UFA guy or trade for a Boychuk/Leddy style guy in the offseason.

No real need to sell off anything right now (either vets or prospects/picks)

Ramo made a spectacular left pad save. Romanuk had said" Ramo with a save rapier like fashion". To all of us since he said it so fast sounded like. "Ramo with a save in reindeer like fashion"
