With the information we have about concussions now, and longer term follow ups on sports athletes in general, we the public have a better understanding of the ramifications of an injury shortened career. We can now see ways in which two instances of "having your bell rung" can really stop a career in its tracks... while also debilitating the player in his post-sports life.

With people on the outside better realizing the full ramifications of these injuries, I think the punishment meted out seems less and less sufficient.

Nothing will change until the league gets hit hard by lawsuits relating to headshot injuries and lack of league action to clean it up. Nothing gets their attention faster then lawsuits.

Looks like Bollig and Setoguchi could be a healthy scratches next game. Could be the kick in the ass Bollig needs after playing 82 games with a much better team last season.

He was skating on a line with Byron and Jooris. I would assume that means he is good to go.

He needs something. He can't complain about playing with slug linemates, except when he payed with McGrattan. He's mostly played with Jooris and Bouma, two high energy guys.
