I can honestly say that I'm not sure how this is going to go.
Logic tells me that Vader is going to strike down Ahsoka without mercy and without hesitation.
This is pre meeting his son and Anakin is still a seething monster who probably blames the whole Jedi Order for everything that happens and probably blames his former Apprentice for his fall.
I can see him taunting her and trying to turn her. "They betrayed you too Apprentice, what do you owe them"
Again by logic Ezra will be there to witness it and Kanaan will probably be too weak to save her, which leads to Vader being able to use the logic "The Dark side is stronger, its the only way that you can save your friends from monsters like me, come with me and I will complete your training and show you the true meaning of power"
So season 3 is going to be about Kanaan and the crew either fleeing Vader and his new Inquisitor or trying to redeem Ezra.
Logically by the end of this series, Ashoka, Kanaan and Ezra have to be either dead or have renounced the force and gone into hiding, the crew has to be scattered and demoralized.
But this is disney, so Vader might show up for his duel with his former apprentice with a box with holes in it filled with adorable puppies.

So with a few days left I might have changed my mind.
We know in the final episode that Ezra finds the old master at what looks like a Sith Temple. Now all along we've thought that the Old Master is Maul and that Maul is a ally of Palpatine after his defeat at the hands of the future Emperor.
However, what if Maul found a way to escape. He's a creature driven by vengeance what if he is still a slave to the dark side and wants his revenge. He sense the darkness in Ezra and begins to train him in the dark side, on top of that he gives Ezra a Sith Holocron with the promise of the strength to protect his friends.
So Ezra doesn't quite fall, but he's on the bleeding edge.
Vader arrives with the Inquisitors, and Kanaan, Ahsoka Ezra and the Old Master face off.
We finally get the fan boy fight between Vader and Maul as the old master, on the other side Ahsoka and Kanaan and Ezra take on the Inquisitors and kill the male Inquisitor (He's boring anyways, plus SMG is very good playing evil).
Then we get the showdown between Ashsoka and Vader, somehow Ezra gets debilitated (his moment of weakness) Kanaan and the Sister face off. Ezra comes to just in time to see Vader defeat his former apprentice, and he feels grief and rage and hatred and hits Vader and the Inquisitor with a blast of Force Lightning or something bigger.
At that point, Vader talks Ezra into joining him and the Inquisitor and the season ends with the scene of Ezra leaving with Vader and the Sister while Kanaan cradles a dying Ashoka

You knew that they were going to link Rebels to the movies, that's a really easy way to do that and do the whole playful could Ezra be Snoke.
The important question is about the history of the planet that they are on and whose voice is telling Ezra that he is being given that power to destroy life in the other previews.
Could it be a voice from KOTOR?

Really looking forward to the season finale, and to see Maul try to use Ezra to take revenge on the sith.
I have a feeling this will have a pretty dark ending. One of the 3 characters isn`t gonna make it out and I agree with CC it`ll probably be Ashoka.
The big question for me is, does Ezra start to fall to the dark side? Does he just misstep a little, or will he be deceived by Maul or Vader? Perhaps they convince him he needs to learn the dark side in order to save his friends. Do Kanaan and the band of rebels spend next season trying to get him back?
So some more thoughts. I think that third inquisitor is hunting Maul.
If you also look at his fingers and toes, the new inq has three fingers and 2 toes, is he a Lestat like Zeb?
I can't remember if Ashoka had any contact with Maul in the Clone Wars, That was more of an Obi-Wan story line thoughout. So would she know Maul on appearance.
I tend to think that the big lie is that Maul is going to position himself as a Jedi on the run, and suck Ezra in with the do what you have to do to protect your friends angle.
I've had a change of heart in some aspects the more I think about it. I think Ezra does fall, and he falls hard, I believe that poor Ahsoka is going to die, it only makes sense that Vader is shown as truly evil at this point in his life and consumed by anger and grief and hatred and rage.
I think at that point in the end game when he see's this Maul convinces Ezra that his way is the right way and they leave and Kanaan is forced to flee with his crew.
We end the season with the hunt continuing for Ezra and Maul and the hunt continuing for the Ghost crew.
I've heard rumors of an additional really intriguing character making an appearance and being cemented into Canon in this episode as well. Probably as a holocron ghost.
But having Ezra flee into wild space with Maul at the end would certainly be a tease to the Snoke is Ezra theory.

’m not going to tell you if or how that happens. But without spoiling anything, I can tell you that this is probably the darkest episode of any Star Wars cartoon I’ve ever seen. Eschewing the familiar fanfare theme, it’s scored to a lot of low, threatening rumblings, and takes place primarily on the foreboding planet of Malachor, where Jedi are forbidden to go. Dave Filoni, in a Q&A following my screening, said one of his inspirations for the episode was Dante’s Inferno – a lot of it takes place underground and has characters trying to ascend to the surface. And yes, there are deaths. Parents should know they’re visually handled discreetly, but the overall sense of doom in the story might make them frightening to the littlest ones anyway.

I don`t think Maul will have to lie about being a Jedi. He pretty much flat out says what he is/was in this clip.
They probably won`t need that angle for Ezra to fall. I think he sees one of the others die, and that pushes him to step into the dark side. Possibly the Ghost crew shows up to bail them out, only to meet up with Vader and the inquisitors. At that point Ezra might believe he needs to do whatever it takes to save them (especially after witnessing Vader kill Ashoka?).
I also think that Maul is pretending to be more frail than he actually is. Similar to the way Yoda or the Emperor would. I wouldn`t be surprised if he takes out one of the inquisitors to show Ezra that his power can help him.
I might actually watch this before Survivor this week.

Ya but I can't stand commercials so I always wait for Survivor to tape while I take my dog for a walk and/or let her win a friendly game of tug of war. Key word 'let'.
But tonight might have to be an exception. I don't get bothered by the Disney commercials since they are few and far between compared to the other channels.

I agree it was completely different then what I thought it would be
Spoiler!
They handled the deaths pretty well for Disney. I was upset that the Sister was killed like she was, just because I really liked her and I'm a big fan of SMG
I wasn't a fan of the helicopter Lightsabers. I thought they were silly.
I loved Maul, I was glad to see he survived. Its pretty clear that he not only wants revenge, but he wants to become the new Sith Lord. I thought he was going to completely seduce Ezra, but he got impatient and it cost him.
Kanaan is blind now, but he showed that he's now a Jedi Knight in the end.
The Ahsoka Vader duel was very well done, there could have been some more emotional context, but what I did like is that we didn't see the soft Vader of ROTJ. This was Anakin Skywalker consumed by his anger and hate to the point that he's pure Vader. The fight was well done and I was glad that Ahsoka held her own.
They certainly hinted that she survived when we saw the glimpse of her going into the temple, but is she alive or a ghost.
One of the spoilers didn't come true in that we would see some indication of Darth Revan.
Only a Sith can open the Holocron. Ezra opened it in the end, they are hinting at the beginnings of the dark journey with that one look.
I really felt Rex's pain in the end, he looked like a man conflicted with losing someone like a daughter and remaining a solider.
I would put this up with a lot of the Clone War episodes.
We didn't get the rush of Ezra turning, but we do have a lot of problems now with the good guys. Maul is alive and he's going to go after his enemies. Kanaan has lost his sight. Vader is going to go after the rebels now with a single mindedness to get that holocron.
The moral center and calm leadership of the ghost crew is gone for now

Yea it's interesting because before Vader wanted to hunt them because they were Jedi, but he had other priorities elsewhere. Now we have a full hunt for that holocron that will keep the Rebels on their toes. It really sets up the tone of building that rivalry between Vader and the Rebels we see in ANH, makes it more personal (besides his family obviously).
I thought it was fitting that Kanaan puts on the mask of a Jedi Temple Guard as he shows his skills, the skills he earned and has the right to wear that mask. Maul looked as you said to eager, he was impatient and just pure anger and it cost him.
I loved the show down between Asohka and Vader, just got a tiny glimmer of Anakin once the mask was destroyed, just a slight pause I wouldn't even call it a hesitation before he knows what he must do. Really shows how far he has gone and how powerful he is right now.
I wonder if the deaths of the inquisitors will be the end of them, as you said the helicopter light sabers was a little lame. I hope if they do bring more around there is some meaning behind them instead of just randomly appearing Inquisitors. I'd rather see some Royal Guard Champion type enemies, the elite of the elite Royal Guards that actually received force training. Maybe combine then with some bounty hunters (Bossk, IG-88, Dengar, Boba etc..) But at the same time, as we learned from the original one, they are actually Jedi that were turned to fight for the dark.. so that is cool. But perhaps the lack of Inquisitors also would signify to us that they have in fact hunted the Jedi to the ends of the universe and Ezra/Kanaan are the only two still openly defying the Empire.
Can't wait for next season! Especially since it will be something to keep us excited leading into Rogue One.

I agree about the deaths, they were well done, and I was also upset that the Sister was killed, she was a great character.
I was almost thinking that the holocron was unlocking a "Star Forge" type weapon from KOTOR lore, but my 2 year old was making a racket so I missed what Maul said about it other than it being a weapon.
Seeing Vader's mask damaged and Anakin underneath was pretty cool, you could feel the anger pouring out of him. I think Ashoka is done, may come back as a ghost.
Ezra opening the holocron at the end and the red reflection in his eyes was pretty foreboding.
Maul was great as always, but like most Sith, impatience got the best of him, it will be interesting to see how he turns up next season
Disney and Star Wars love their easter eggs, but this one might be a bit of a reach but.. there was a line at one point, it was either Maul or Asohka I think that looked right at the camera like they were talking to Ezra something about "In legends there is truth" or something along those lines.
Maybe an easter egg about possible Legends material surfacing soon in the EU? It just seemed like all background noise or music cut for that line like it was so emphasized, I dunno probably nothing but thought I would mention it.
