KC still has a great shot at this with the last two at home.
Winning the all-star game is huge, and I like it that way.

Bumgarner now has the lowest World Series ERA in history at 0.29 (min. 25 IP)

Ever since Yost started talking about how smart he is thanks to the bullpen (after Game 3) the bullpen has sucked balls.

Giants have closed out the World Series their first try each time in 2010 and 12. They know how to close. I think the Royals might have lost their belief after blowing that 4-1 lead and getting crushed.

Peavy appears on his way to a quick hook. But Petit is better anyway so perhaps blessing in disguise unless this really gets away from the Giants.

Could have a 7 game series with only one close game.

Yeah I keep hearing baseball people talk about what a great series this has been, but obviously the results strongly suggest otherwise. Not even only one close game, only one game within a one hit margin, everything has been 5+ run wins. Might be a well played series but virtually no drama at all. Not very compelling.

Yup.
Media talking about how good the series has been, but none of the games have really been that good.

IIRC, the Cards-Rangers WS was full of errors and terrible pitching too.

There have only been 3 errors in total in this series. Neither of Belt's disasters last night were errors.
The series doesn't have to have close games to be a good series. There has been great defense and great catches in this series and offensively there have been some good decisions like moving runners and beating out ground balls to break games open.

Ya, since when are series only considered "good" when they are close. There have been dominating pitching performances, clutch hitting & even more clutch defensive plays. I've enjoyed this World Series quite a bit actually.

Well I can't consider a series good when I (and most people) didn't even make it past the 4th inning of half the games so far. Would we consider a Stanley Cup Finals good if the play was good but half the games were 5-0 in the middle of the second period and only one game was actually close? Almost certainly not.
A seven game series should be memorable and have many great moments. Outside Bumgarner's dominance, nothing in this series has been memorable.

How many innings can Bumgarner go tonight if they need him? KC looks to need 5-6 innings until they get to their big 3 in the bull pen. It's going to be a race to get your runs in the first 4 innings if you're KC tonight.

I think the Giants are really missing Cain now (even more than Pagan). Bumgarner is the only reliable starting pitcher they have going.
I think Hudson will have a short leash tonight. Bumgarner could come in. How many pitches did Petit throw last night?
Despite losing by 10 last night, SF still has scored more runs in the series than KC. The Giants have not shown any HR power so far, and they could be overdue for some of that.

There are three pitchers in the past 58 years who started three games in a Series and won all three: Lew Burdette (’57, 27 innings), Bob Gibson (’67, 27) and Mickey Lolich (’68, 27).
Did any of them blow out his pitching arm? Here’s the W-L records of those four the following season: Burdette 20-10, Gibson 22-9 and Lolich 19-11.

Van-Bos was one of my favourite series of all time, and there weren't a lot of close games in that one. Bos blew them out everytime they won, IIRC.

Well yeah but that's a bit different. A team(and fanbase) we all utterly despise getting annihilated is always going to be awesome. I was living out there at the time and it was incredible. So I suppose when it's a neutral fan situation, no one wants blowouts.
