They are a lot of fun in GXP/Red Line trim; considering when it came out, that little 2.0L is one of the best engines GM has made. They could be upgraded by a dealer to as much as 290 hp, 340 tq while keeping the 5 yr/100k warranty. I mean, we're talking about more warrantied torque than a 997 GT3 RS 4.0 from a General Motors 2.0L that debuted in 2007.

Doesn't really matter how you feel about GM, there's no denying this is a heck of a motor.

Anything retro ends up look like a goofy cartoony version of itself....especially amongst the domestics.

Very rarely does a tribute design look good. The first gen Mini wasn't bad (has gotten worse with every change though). The Ford GT looks good...but that's because its hard to tell the difference.

The C7 was hardley an F12 rip off. Most exotic cars have similar body types, and the C7 didn't step away from Corvette styling in any major way. It's best attributes were also much more then skin deep, and has been praised for it's competence on the track in relation to it's price point by most car critics out there. Hating a C7 is nothing but bias againts GM.

I've posted a few gear grinders on that as well. Especially around my former co-worker who was all smug about his 'brand new Mercedes'

Don't mind people bragging about their new toy once in a while, but it got to the point that it was just condescending. And constant.

Should have seen the look on his face when I broke down why a VW Golf is a better car in every way and told him he basically spent an extra $10 000 for a badge... a badge that hasn't even meant much since the 90's when all their quality went out the window.
