I can't be the only one that sees all these factitious for exactly what they are, am I? I'm pretty sure no one in their right mind would name a hockey team "Adorn a dick" or the Chairs. I have a little more faith in CP than that.

Makes sense to name them the Flames. Wasn't the original Atlanta Flames named after the burning of Atlanta? With reading about Glens Falls, I discovered that they also got burned down - so the theme fits.
Would make it terribly confusing at times though with both teams named Flames.
