I've never touched a VLT. Been to Vegas a few times and never touched a slot machine. I prefer to put money into investments and hockey pools. And my kids.

I'm also a morning person and have no need for caffeine.
Screw you! Is this a learned behaviour I wonder? I really wish I was a morning person, but I can't do it.

How a financial advisor can give money to the Edmonton Oilers with a straight face is beyond me.

I haven't watched the Oilers more that a few times even on free TV in the last five years, let alone bought any tickets. I have little interest in the NHL. I much prefer my Esks, Oil Kings (heading to the game tonight) and Golden Bears. Your post has nothing to do with what I wrote and you obviously have no idea what I spend money on.

Yes, I know the Oilers own the OKs.

One should actually get up a few times on a long flight. It will help avoid deep vein thrombosis (blood clot in the veins... Typically legs)

I'm not a morning person but I never drank coffee until I was 30. It burned my mouth, same with hot foods. Now I'm addicted to two big cups a morning. More and I can't sleep but it's one addictive pleasure I have left. What's the old joke, cut out smoking, cut out drinking, etc. now I cut out paper dolls.

Holy crap, MoneyGuy, you have got to be the most serious guy on this site. I don't think I've ever seen you take anything light-heartedly here, and then someone makes a very obvious joke about being a financial advisor and spending money on the Oilers and you go into a five sentence rant about where you actually spend your money?

Seriously man, lighten up once in a while.

So you've been participating in Oiler threads and you admit to not even watching them more than a couple dozen times in the last 5 years? This is such bologna. I remember you taking part in so many threads in 2011,2012,2013 but now that your Oilers are awful you're going make up some BS that you have little interest in the NHL?

Yeah, ok.

What's the difference between betting money in hockey pools and going to Vegas to gamble?

If the user Smilt ever posts ask him about the time he panicked in a hockey pool because he was so unprepared and proudly selected Jani Rita.

There isn't, other than it is more socially acceptable. I don't enter pay hockey pools anymore either.

Haha, yeah, but it's a Richardson's ground squirrel, colloquially known as the gopher.
