How is it surprising? It's his first NHL game and he's getting very few touches on the puck.

It takes time to grow into an NHL goalie. It's not going to happen during the next intermission.

Burke Interview Recap:

- Jay makes a joke...bombs.

- Says that it has been quiet on the trade front. Vanek and Moulson need to move first. Picking up now.

- No new news on Cammy. Met with agent and Cammy and extended offer.

- Risk of waiting to trade because of Vanek and Moulson might dry up market. Market is dictating.

- Ladi Smid has been a good player for Calgary, chewing up minutes, quaility guy, probably won't deal him

- List of untouchables is short due to where they are. Monahan and Gio untouchable.

- Want player back that can help right away. 2nd choice is close to playing, could play next year. Then draft picks.

- Going to hire GM as soon as they can. Have a couple guys they want to talk to, waiting for permission to talk to them. Might be after season. May go to draft as GM depending on how talks go.

- Expects flurry of deals in the next few days. Lots of chatter. Lots of teams looking to make an impact. Expects GM's to make mistakes at the Trade Deadline and will be busy.

- WILL NOT BE GM of Flames at start of next season.
