Well that was pretty strong.

Way off on their spins too though - not a great program overall.
Actually, ignoring the sbs 3S error, I think that's the best I've seen them skate the Alice program this year.

Lovely performance by Moore-Towers and Moscovitch. Overall, I thought they were better than Duhamel and Radford in their free skate, but viceversa in their short programs.

Great skate by Moscovitch and Moore-Towers - except for Moscovitch doubling his side by side triple. A big mistake, but the rest of the program was huge!

The season best score certainly reflected that. But it wasn't perfect - and they needed to be perfect.

Solid score, but with what's to come I would imagine Canada will sit just outside a medal.

Curling update: Denmark beats Sweden, which is important. Denmark moves to 2-2 (and we face them tomorrow), but Sweden moves to 3-1.

It's really interesting listening to the Chinese curling team speak English. Germany almost made it really close in the 10th end, but China moves to 4-0.

So in the Men's competition:

1) China, 4-0
2) Norway, 3-0
T3) Great Britain, 3-1
T3) Sweden, 3-1
T5) Canada, 2-2
T5) Denmark, 2-2

Canada still has to play three of the four teams in front of them, and they play Denmark tomorrow.

There's been a bunch of age controversies with her. I don't think anyone really knows how old she is because the dates on her passport don't match the dates she has with the skating federation (if I'm not mistaken, my details might be incorrect).

Is there a minimum age to compete in the Olympics? 16?

EDIT: Nevermind, 16 it is...all praise Google.

EDIT2: Now I'm finding that it is dependent on the organizing body per each sport.

There was a Russian figure skater and a Japanese snowboarder that were both 15.

That was his old partner.

Quote:
On February 14, 2011, the Zhangs' ages became the subject of controversy. Although his International Skating Union bio lists Zhang Hao as born on July 6, 1984, a Chinese skating association website suggested he was born on February 6, 1982.[2] This would mean he was too old to compete in junior events during the 2002–03 season, such as the 2003 World Junior Championships where they won gold. His partner's age also came under scrutiny. Her ISU bio states that she was born on October 4, 1985 but the Chinese website suggested she was born on that day in 1987, meaning she was 14 and too young to compete in senior events during the 2001–02 season, such as the Four Continents where they won bronze, as well as the Olympics and World Championships.[2] The dates disappeared from the website by February 15.[10] On February 17, the ISU said there were no discrepancies for the Zhangs in terms of the birthdates listed on their passports, ISU registration forms and the Chinese Olympic Committee's website.[10]

I think you're mixing her up with someone else.

First look of @TrankovsPants!

Pang/Tong have my favourite FP this season (besides V/T). My guess is they move up to the bronze.
