Awesome game by the kid line with Hudler. Baertschi was making many great little plays and was tenacious at both ends of the ice, kinda like he was for a good part of the last game.
The 3 UFA vets with great games too, though Stempy & Stajan should've been there to tie up Little, but they were really good other than that. Big surprise to see Matty lead the Flames in hits tonight, but he put a beauty hit on Schiefle, then drew a penalty on Clitsome seconds later.
Backlund with multiple failed attempts to clear the D-zone cost the Flames the Jets 1st goal. Hope he doesn't get punished too bad or demoted to the 4th line next game.
Colborne meh until the shootout, where he had a sick deke for a goal.
Brodie scored and was a +2, but kinda struggled in his own zone at times and got knocked around pretty good in this one by the Jets forwards alot.
Berra was good other than the bad rebound on the Little goal. 3rd goal he got screened by both Wideman & Butler.

He had a couple noticeable giveaways that looks like it resulted in him being benched half-way through the third.

Whoa whoa whoa. I'm pretty sure that young players should do a centre ice knee slide when they score the game winning goal.
Seriously though. I really like Monahans attitude towards to the game. I would much rather have a "boring" team first player like Monahan over some of the me-first players up north.
We will never get an exciting sound byte, controversy or exciting celebration out of Monahan. I guess we'll just have to settle for smart hockey plays and clutch goals. Darn.

Stajan's trade value has got to be at least half-decent if not better by now given how well he played last season and how solid he's been in general this year.

I would imagine that Hartley picked the shooters based on how they do in practice when they do shootouts. I know I've seen some highlight videos of colborne in those practices.

Love the win
Hate the dumb plays that got us to the <bleeping> <bleep> shootout, the whiny Jets fans and who the hell was picking the stars for the game
Buff, Berra and Joikinen

Bull. I'm sure that's what he told the media he did to get the penalty. If you wanna take an NHLer at his word, that's your problem. :P

That Colborne shootout move blew me away. He's just such a plug in games I didn't think he had it in him.
