Non-import DB Jeff Hecht has signed a 2 year contract with the stamps. One more guy to cross off the list.

Last update I heard on Tsoumpas's concussion was back in mid November and he said it was getting better.
http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/Ts...863/story.html
I have not heard anything else since, but the Stampeders are waiting until he is fully healthy to sign him?
edit - maybe they are waiting until he is healthy.

Bolden should be signed as well. Need that depth on the D-line.
Do you think Parker and Forzani are let go? Still young guys. And Forzani, if healthy can be quite effective.

I think Forzani can be let go, his speed is nice but his dropped balls kill many drives. Parker I am just unsure about, he doesnt seem to have the confidence of the QBs at this time.

Forzani's biggest asset is his speed and with the injury he had, he may have lost a step, who knows! He'll have to come in and compete for a job but do sign him.
Parker hasn't gotten any consistent play time or chance to show what he can do. Partially his fault but when you have better imports coming in doing a better job you can't really shine.
With Arthur and Sinopli, these two guys will be in tough to stick around, might stay on practise roster but that due to the depth Huff has built on this team. There's the new guys in Morin-Plante, Charbonneau, and Bauman coming back from injury too.
Fuller/Lewis/West/Price will/should all start and McDaniel is there too, jeez hopefully Huff can trade some to upgrade elsewhere.

I'm not a Parker fan at all. Don't know what he looks like in practice, but I haven't seen anything in limited game action that would suggest he could be a player in this league. Would be happy to be proven wrong...
As for Forzani, I think health is the big issue. His main asset is speed, but if you're out for 1.5 years with ankle (?) injuries, I'd be curious to see if he can still stretch the field. As Cheese mentioned, drops are also an issue.

Updated: Wall, Bennett, Hecht (signed).
Vicky Hall reporting St. Piere is close to re-signing.
Nothing new on Randle.
So 9 guys left and about 20 days left. Besides Malik all should get new contracts.

Randy Chevrier is a free agent too I believe.
Good veteran guy in the locker room, special teams and long snapper.
Worth a 1 year deal?

Stamps OL Dimitri Tsoumpas retires from ftbl due to injury. Says he fully recovered from concussion but wants to err on the side of caution.
Tough loss for the Stamps, big hole to fill.

Damn, big loss for the Stamps... At least he's staying on with the team in some regard.

Tough loss losing Tsoumpas for sure. But awesome that he will be sticking around as a strength and conditioning guy and helping out the young O-lineman.
I think Huff is pretty high on Brander Craighead who he took in the 1st round last year.
We still have great O-line depth.
Gott, Jones, Federkiel, Bryant, Wilson, Harrison
and some young guys in
Craighead, Peach, Bergman.
Stamps will be fine.

Damn -- at 28, he could have had another 6+ good seasons ahead of him.
With Gott, Jones, Wilson and Federkeil, our Canadian O-Line depth is still pretty good (although not as good without Tsoump). Just need one of the young guys to step in as a reliable backup (Peach, Craighead; I also see Bergman? on the roster).
EDIT: Bar-Down beat me to it

Still? Wow. One would have to think even if he is able to recover fully that his speed will be less than what he had
