They are too scared to win. They think they can reverse-engineer their legends. They will never succeed.

Why do I see this horrific streak of Edmonton's being snapped by a drubbing of the Flames on Saturday?

I see the opposite... I see them hitting their lowest point when their arch rival flames beat them so badly on Saturday. I'm talking about a 7-0 win for the flames. With Monahan and baertschi leading the way to make it even worse as our you stars show up theirs.

I hope you're right, your version is way better.

not really relevant as in the 20's you could only pass backwards. The forward pass wasn't implemented till the 30's. Cool link though, it was funny seeing the team leader had 13 points in 40 odd games.

Or that a goalie with a 1.85 GAA and five shutouts in a 44 game season could win only 7 games.

But yeah, we would have to start at least with the addition of the red line to get a closer comparison to today's game.

Gord Miller ‏@GMillerTSN 18s From @esbbob: the Oilers are only the 2nd team in the modern era of the NHL to be shut out in three straight home games (Minnesota 72/73)

New Franchise Record in terms of being shutout at home 3 times in a row.

I knew the Oilers wouldn't let me down!

After this debacle where he was made to look like a fool by Nail, Eakins really needs to go.
?

To me, that was detrimental to Yak's credibility, not Eakins.

He was showing the world: I don't care what my coach thinks, I will do what I want.

Yak stock drops another 5% in a spirited trading session.

Agreed. It's one thing for trade value when a 1st overall isn't performing well in his second year. It's a whole other story when he's going rogue and his agent is making a public stink.

Sink Yak trade value ... sink.

Funny thing is, if Schultz didn't score with 2:04 left in the game in a 4-0 game. They would be sitting at 4 straight SO in home games.
