Having been to Buffalo and Edmonton, I'd take Edmonton any day. Buffalo is like a slum of Edmonton. One of the worst places in North America, not including Mexico.
I guess being a proven goalie though you might as well pick somewhere nice

I know that a lot of people in here live in Calgary, obviously, and like to bad mouth Edmonton every chance they get.
I've lived in a lot of cities throughout Canada and Edmonton isn't as bad as a lot of people on here make it out to be.

Well, I've lived in Montreal, Ottawa, Regina, Calgary and Edmonton. Montreal was by far the best, the rest is pretty much the same.
Il take my own personal experience over some Mr internet thinks he knows it all.

Having lived in multiple places myself, throughout both BC and Alberta (including Edmonton), and having traveled and stayed extensively at well over 50 destinations throughout North America and abroad, I can tell you with great comfort that Edmonton is the worst place in North America I've ever been.
I guess people with really low standards like it though, so have at 'er chief. And that's DOCTOR Internet to you.

Of course, says the 15 year old doctor from his mom's basement.
Just because people that have actually been places don't see a big difference between Calgary and Edmonton, don't get all butthurt.

*oh god*. Did you just attempt a "doctor" one-up?
That's just pathetic. And no, it doesn't somehow qualify your opinion on a public internet message board as especially enlightened.

I agree that Buffalo is nothing special, but I do like Niagara area. Also, I go to Buffalo a few times every year and I always meet nice people. This is a huge generalization, but they seem humble to the fact their city isn't the greatest and make up for it with personality. On the other hand, most Edmontonians I meet seem to think their city is god's gift to the world.

You're especially grumpy today! My point stands, I've been many many places and lived in both Calgary, Edmonton, and other locations. That qualifies me to give an opinion, much like yours, and say that it is in fact as bad as some people are saying it is.
Again, it's great that your low standards make you pretty much happy in any old dump, but it doesn't make you right. The only one who is "butthurt" appears to be you Mr.Grumps! (Or doctor if you prefer).

Calm down. Sometimes on the Internet people respond to lame jokes like "mr Internet know it all" with equally lame attempts at humour like the classic "doctor correction". I wouldn't get too excited about it. I'm as good at being a doctor as you are at not losing your cool over a comment on a message board.
Though I did put stitches in once! That at least qualifies me to make this post.... maybe.

Anyone who calls someone "Mr.Grumpy" over the internet, or in person, loses any credibility they had.

Philly makes sense to me. His play will probably go in the toilet if he goes to that goalie graveyard though.

No. I have a feeling though it would have high potential of dethroning the City of Champions.
