The systems play by this squad, this early in the season, is really impressive. They, so far, are earning the right to be in these games.

Really good period for the Flames. I thought they really took it to the Canucks. My only concern is MacDonald. His reboun control leaves something to be desired.

Great first period for the flames... Had the better chances and didn't get stuck in their zone. Baertschi, Monahan, and stempniak are a great line!
