Might not take Ortio as long to adjust to NA hockey as I initially thought. Put him in the Granlund/Ferland category for me of prospects I'd maybe written off a bit that are impressing me at this tourney.

Poirier has been impressive. Quick release, lots of speed, hockey smarts...doesn't hurt that Granlund has eyes in the back of his head.

Pretty horrible period by the Flames overall. A few good plays by a few players, but mostly it was Ortio standing on his head, a couple flashes by Granlund and Ferland, some solid play from Ramage and a whole lot of meh.

Nucks baby team is way better than the Coilers baby team. Flames can't just coast through this game and expect to win.

Yeah, back to the Flames page, no issues. YouTube started out ok but got unwatchable.

He kind of looks like Kipper with his stance and some of his moves. Even right to taking a drink and adjusting his stick between plays.

CRAPPY period.

Players that looked good: Ortio (wow), Poirier, Granlund, Kanzig, Ramage, Reinhart

Other then one offensive chance (where he forgot to shoot) the only time I have noticed Baertschi was the lazy tripping penalty.
