Rock the Shores' lineup was announced yesterday and it's a whole lot of terrible.

In contrast, Vicfest, which tends to not get very much publicity but has the best location of all of the festivals in Victoria has a pretty solid lineup.

At least you are drawing The Dudes away from Calgary, so we can have a break.

Honestly, if this show was in 1997, I would be absolutely losing my shat.

Frank Ocean just said he is opening for Outkast at Pemberton. There it is ya'll.
Sounds like they got Soundgarden and NIN too. Possibly Deadmau5,
Apparently today they are announcing the full lineup. SUPER SERIOUS THIS TIME

That's a really strong comedy tent too. Definitely a very nice lineup.

A job very well done getting those names. If I didn't have plans that weekend I would definitely look into adding that to my summer schedule.

Yeah that's a seriously strong lineup. I'm supposed to leave for Europe on the 22nd so I'm trying to figure out if there's any way to make it work.

The good bands basically tend to tour in Europe and go to their mega festivals there. How I envy them.
Where is this NIN concert at? I don't particularly care for over 90% of the stuff listed here, but NIN and Soundgarden (if it's anything like this 90's Soundgarden) is good enough for me, plus a few of those comedians. I love it. Since I don't plan on doing that Motley Crue crap near the end of the year it might be the only music event I go to this year if it's within driving distance.

I help put the festival together, it has sold out every year since 2010, in the past it's always been on August long weekend but the city has fought for years to change that, this year they finally got their wish and i'm not 100% sure it will sell out because of that.
The festival itself is awesome, there is tons of sports going on, basketball, dirt biking, beach volleyball. There is a beach stage with DJs and performers (including bikini contest ) that closes around 5 PM i think. The talent is usually a good variety of hiphop/electronic music and some indie.
The after parties start early and go late the entire city is a giant party on CoG weekend, last year McDonalds and Tim Hortons literally ran out of food.
Hope this helps!
