If the penalties for making a false accusations were too harsh, more false accusers would stick to their stories rather than doing the right thing and recanting.
No I would hope women would think long and hard if they knew the penalty was more severe. Doing the right thing is not making a false accusation. Recanting is simply being broken down by guilt but by then the damage has been done in a lot of cases.
That's horrible. How can a person only get a slap on the wrist for lying to authorities and taking 6 months away from a person's life? IMO this should be a two way street and the penalty for lying and putting a person through misery should be along the lines of the actual crime.
Location: Close enough to make a beer run during a TV timeout

I would say that slander in regards to a false accusation like this is about the same. IMO you cannot hold sexual assault as being such a heinous crime (which it is) and not hold lying about it to the same standard.
However I think the biggest obsticle to making it such a severe offense is it would likely prevent more legitimate rape victims from coming forward. The girl who passed out at a party or was slipped a drug and raped could have her case thrown out due to a lack of evidence, and then be faced with charges herself.

I don't think the bolded is really a concern. There's a massive difference between a claim lacking the evidentiary support needed to obtain a conviction and a claim having the evidentiary support needed to be shown to be a fabrication.

I feel like if you're joining a "Men's rights movement" organization or other-
you simply need more to do. Get some hobbies for Christ sakes. Go for a run, lose some weight. Go get a job if you don't have one. Go do something meaningful with your hours of free time. To me it'd be like joining a "White people movement" organization. At what point in history have men been oppressed? Never? Thought so. Are they oppressed now? No? Thought so. Go read a book or do something constructive. Go travel, maybe it will help with your backwards perspective.
Then in the future, when the tables actually turn and men are actually being infringed upon as a gender, we can revisit the Men's Rights Movement. But for now, you're just simply most likely bored.

I also think that the best course is letting things get out of hand AND THEN trying to stop it. I mostly use this line of thinking when watching something fun like little kids fighting though.

You assume that these guys don't have massive seething issues with women and are all "nice guys" and women are either "feminazi lesbians" or just bitches to be categorized and conquered.
Anyone else wondering what that woman is doing working for a MRA?
That caught my attention as well. It's unfortunate that her videos are so long as it means that people will likely not watch them, but she makes some great arguments and presents her position very well.
Well, seeing as one of the hot new ####-filled subreddits is RedPillWomen or something, I'm not too surprised. Lots of women talking about how it was shocking, yet comforting to realize they had no value as a gender.
For those wondering, r/RedPill is where MRAs meet PUAs, and wrap it up in a Matrix-y weirdness.

Are you suggesting that the woman in the vid feels that women have no value as a gender? I'm not sure that I understand your point.

I'm not speaking about that women specifically, more about posts like this:

Charles Manson probably knows more about the foundations of civilization than any man today. He created his own mini patriarchy. The cult leader begins with a few women. He must be a naturally charismatic, hard alpha male with narcissistic tendencies. Once he gathers a few women to follow him he uses the women to attract the other males that join the group. He can then dictate and control the whole group through the manipulation of its women.

the obsession with #### size was fomented in the 70s to denigrate white men and promote miscegenation. also, it emanated from the newly vocal size queens of the increasingly visible gay community. it NEVER came from women. a penis only needs to be big ENOUGH

I think the basics are similar for women- realizing we have no inherent value (ouch, that can hurt!) and then adjusting our self and life to reach those goals.
all taken from r/RedPillWomen.
Now, I generally (hope and pray...for my sanity) that all this crap and most of the junk on that forum is posted by men posing as women, but some YouTube videos (similar to the one above, but worse) have led me to believe otherwise.

I don't see how the video above has any relation to r/RedPillWomen. Her justifications for the "don't be that girl" campaign doesn't include devaluing the female gender, so I am not sure why this vid should be lumped into the cause of your deteriorating sanity.
