SALARY CAP: $64,300,000; CAP PAYROLL: $65,956,667; BONUSES: $5,937,500
CAP SPACE (20-man roster): $3,165,833
looks like 3m in space for a 3rd line winger and a 13th F, with Tuukka getting 7 and none of Iggy's bonuses spilling over.

I know these aren't quite the lineup for next season, but i'd rather Loui Eriksson play 1st line and iginla on the 2nd line with Marchand and Bergeron.

I think this confirms Browna's assertion that the ill will is at Feaster, not Iginla.
In any event, im loving this. I think he will be a huge influence on Lucic and how to prepare in and out of season to become elite.
I also wonder if this increases his chances for Team Canada, if he clicks with Bergeronand or Lucic? They seem to like people with demonstrated chemistry given the short camp.

This honestly pisses me off if he went to Boston in the first place we would have khochlachev a promising centre and bartowski who already played in the nhl and is young and they would have got the first rounder

I guess the 12 hours that Feaster and KK spent trying to convince Iggy that Boston would be a good fit did not fall on deaf ears. lol.
Now that the pick does not matter to the flames, i hope he gets his cup.

Man, Boston's cap situation is complicated with Savard and LTIR and bonus cushions. I could be reading it wrong, but it looks to me like they need to get rid of a lot of salary next year (or are banking on the cap going way up). Can any capologist break this down for us?

i don't know why MMF thinks his opinion is correct. I guess if he says it convincely enough some people will believe him. Bruins management was miffed as far as I remember. You can still do business with someone you don't like.
and yes, I also think there is a 'board' of draft players that represents the concensus picks, and that you can go off the 'board' despite MMF saying there 'IS NO BOARD'

I wish him all the personal success in the world, but I'm hoping he doesn't win another game until the 2014-15 season.

Or to string him along to keep bidding and negotiating even though there was zero chance the trade goes through?

Marchand and Bergy are always our shutdown line, I wouldn't want to put Iggy there at this point of his career. He should be a copy of Horton on the Krejci line.

Ya lol at those people who chose to enjoy themselves cheering on one of their favourite players through the playoffs after he missed it for the last few years. What chumps trying to be enthusiastic and have fun!

Holy overpayment. I wouldn't want the Flames to pay Iginla half of that.
