I for one am just looking forward to being interested in this team again, win or lose. The last few seasons of the same old same old (coupled with the lockout) completely destroyed my interest in the Flames and the NHL. I hate to say it but I didn't watch one full game last season until the playoffs.
Once it became evident that this team was actually committed to a proper rebuild I found myself getting excited again. I'm happy to see a new direction for this franchise. I think ownership will be pleasantly surprised at how interested and patient our fanbase can be when things are being done properly. We are no longer content to be merely competitive only to be mired in mediocrity for eternity. I think fans are willing to go through the growing pains if it means that we stay committed to building a solid future. I can't speak for all but I know I am.

I really hope Feaster is able to get some quality players from cap strapped teams for our cap space. The current flames team is a horrible roster with no center depth, too many LW, and only 2 proven top 4 defenders
