Article talked about no room on the roster. Kennedy and a kid (can't remember who)

So they shipped him where he wanted to go - classy move by the Sharks

I think we are seeing the benefit of having cap space and being patient... deals like this will fall in your lap.

McGrattan keeps the kids from being abused, and it's not like he is taking anybody's job - he has a unique role. Jackman, on the other hand, is a waste of a roster spot.

100% agreed. When this team returns to competitiveness nothing from the previous era will be around. You'd keep some from the previous core to be mentors and cultivate the new crop but I'm just not convinced that they're up to it based on the stages that they're at in their careers.

Those three players while individually may be nice guys are tainted with the country club era. Cammalleri is on the way out, Giordano may be salvageable, Glencross is still a big concern with the NMC and his attitude.

I don't think they will move either Glencross or Giordano although I agree that they should be gone, hopefully at this deadline where we get more 1st round picks.

I have no doubt Galiardi expressed his desire to DW to play for his hometown team. Seems to plausible not to.

Id love to see what the difference ends up being with average height and weight between this years team and last years team. Especially if they end up trading Cammy.

Very smart move.
that is a good point he will be an RFA next year i agree. I wouldn't flip him though you can build with this kid. Great size, strong, fast. Proved he could play on the top line after getting promoted in the playoffs.
I hope he gets a shot on the 2nd line. Also he can play both wings.

I agree with you but there is no rush to deal those guy if the right deal/value isn't on the table. The closer it get to trade deadline, the greater the potential return.

Mcgratton to me is the perfect guy to have around these kids. He has gone through a ton and persevered. That is life experience that goes beyond the rink, and from comments of Sven earlier in the year, he is loved in the room. I think signing him is a no brainer. Maybe he only plays 30-40 games, but have him around imo.

Ugh.

Lets just say I have some ties to TJ and some of his friends that live here in Calgary. Ever wonder why Colorado, and now SJ didn't want him? It doesn't seem like an on ice problem, perhaps it's an off ice problem? Hopefully he grows up.

Never wanted to see this guy end up in a Flames jersey.

That might be part of the reason why he tanked the Sharks and DW on Twitter for working with him through this process.

If that's what happened, Sharks is for sure a classy organization.

Well TJ Galiardi is Calgary born but due to his dual-Citizenship plays for the Americans internationally.

If you lightly bread it with flour, salt and pepper then pan fry it you have a tasty meal going on.
