I think there are legitimate health concerns with this one.

Jay Feaster says #Flames selling opportunity to UFA's and Agents as the GM's 48 hour window to talk is open. #noshortageofthat
Roger Millions@RogMillions42s
Feaster has plenty of money to spend and admits he has been busy talking to a number of UFA's. That surprises me a little. #Flames.

Listening to the Fan. Steinberg thinks they're going after centers that win faceoffs. I bet there is a giant bullseye on Weiss.

6'2" 200lbs center. His stats look terrible though. Especially for being a Panther.

I would be very tempted to go after Mueller as well, offer him a show us what you got kind of contract, maybe similar numbers to Galiardi. The kid had some concussion isue early on but seems to have turned that corner. He was always hyped when he was first drafted by Phoenix. give him a shot imo.

Bozak won the second most faceoffs in the league last season. Fits the age group better, and as an NCAA player Weisbrod would be familiar with him.
I really don't want them to spend money on Bozak but it wouldn't shock me.

I believe in the Jays.

Oh I'd definetly go after Mueller, nothing long term just a short-term "showme" contract... he's still young at 25. Same with Blum if Nashville is serious about not qualifying him... those guys are young enough and have enough upside to be part of the next Flames winning team. I want another Center too (I'd like the Flames to pick up 2)... enough to give us 4 solid NHL calibre centers so that Monohan, Knight, Reinhart, and Horak can spend a year in development (which they'll all need IMO) instead of spending a year struggling in what would probably be another lost season anyways.

Oh yuck... Bozak is basically Stajan. He'll look significantly worse without Kessel on his wing. For the amount of $$ and term that he'll want I hope Feaster stays far far away.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me at all. I think we better be prepared for the Flames signing Bozak to a big contract. They have the money, and he fits a need.
Only thing is, if they do pick up another centre, someone - maybe a couple guys - are on their way out. Stajan. Horak. Backlund.

I don't see why... we have a grand total of two NHL calibre centers in Calgary (Backlund and Stajan).
Horak can centre the top line in Abbotsford... he needs to demonstrate that he has top nine aptitude anyways.

Great face-off guy playing for the Coyotes, western canadian guy, ideal 4th line C

I agree, but I've read and heard essentially from Feasters mouth that they're targeting top six centers. So I can certainly see them targeting Weiss and Bozak. I lean more towards Weiss but I can see Bozak getting some coin on a three years deal.
Not sure if they want Filppula as they said center that wins faceoffs and I don't know what his faceoff percentage is. Would like him but faceoffs are a key attribute they're targeting.

My guess is Bozak gets a 5-year contract for around $5.5 per year. Hope it is not the Flames that give it to him but I am preparing for the worst.

Feaster said they are not interested in 7 year contracts. So if the rumors of him wanting 8 year deal he won't be coming here since all we can offer is 7 years.

What interview was this? Missed that he had an interview discussing UFAs.
If they want to break the bank on a center I hope it is Flippula. Think he still has some untapped potential and brings previous chemistry with Hudler.
