I was thinking the same thing. Doesn't exactly inspire confidence. And yes Comeau, you are that bad of a player.

For the price, Jones worked just fine. Im surprised and expect he will find a new home fairly quickly.
I also think that it means the writing is on the wall for some others.

Really who of consequence? It's not like top players like the Giordano's, Comeau's or Iginla's of the team are going to be taken to task for their poor play.

Why is that?
Jones is a cheap young-ish guy that is filling in and not holding anyone down on the farm.
Jones is the type of guy you keep around as filler during a rebuild.

Yup, we get this kind of reaction over the waiving of Blair Jones. Imagine the post-apocalyptic nightmare this place will become if the Flames ever did give people their much asked for "blow up".

I appreciate that Jones has size, works hard and wins faceoffs, but he's not that good of a player. Has it dawned on anybody the coaches may not like his positional play or something like that?
The fact is, it's a fourth liner and this team's struggles aren't because of those guys, who are interchangeable all the time.
I'm more worried about Iginla's inconsistent efforts and the terrible defensive play.
