Yup, what a breathtaking team of superstars up there in the chuk. If only we could have such hot dogs on the Flames. Oh and according to the call in show, the only reason that team is losing is because they are missing such uber-stars as the nuge, Horcoff and that superstar of superstars Bell-on-Jay.
Yup they are really building something special up there.

The lottery Flames have 3 more 5on5 goals than the powerhouse Oilers in three less games. Let us tremble before our new greasy overlords.

Seguin might be off to a average start offensively (6 points in 9 games), but he is a wizard in his own zone compared to Hall. Maybe it's because he improved his two-way game while playing in Boston, but he is far more defensively responsible than any forward on the Oilers roster.
He was second last year in the NHL's +/- to Bergeron with a +34, and is already a +7 last year. Even the #1 Oilers fan Ferraro had him on team Canada as a defensive center, while Hall was nowhere to be seen.
Not saying Hall isn't a very good player, but I wouldn't consider him great yet, and not in the top 50 players like TSN had him this year.
Edit: Oh and Boston is obviously more of a team that is going to rely on winning tight scoring games, rather then the run and gun style the Oilers use, so obviously their player stats will suffer. Right now Krejci leads their team in scoring with 9 points, then a bunch of players are second with 6. But then when you look at their goals against, then only have 19 goals against (7 which came against Buffalo in one game).
I'd say Rask should be the early front runner for the Vezina at the moment. He is just a stellar goalie.

Well, Viktor Fasth has a cinderella story written up to this day.
Guy was nobody, played in Division 2 & Division 1 in Sweden, kind of good, then AIK (Swedish "Elitserien" team") took a shot on him, and he shined there, got a shot in Sweden's international team, did not fail. Except for the 6-1 Final versus Finland ;D.
But he's a Luongo, can't handle big games.

I'd say that the early front runner has to be Craig Anderson, the guy has been lights out for the Senators.

Man, Jagr is such a puck hog.
I bet I'm the first guy to make that observation.

A great Wednesday doubleheader on TSN. What an Original 6 game, forever rivals Bruins-Habs and the Bruins with those 2 quickies early in the 3rd period to win it 2-1 in reg time. Tukka Rask was great. Watching the highlights, I liked Emrick's call on NBCSN from the opening faceoff of the 3rd to the tying goal. Thanks to the Stars and Jagr winning it 3-2 in OT, do it in reg time for the next game. Like Trojan97 said, Oilers are brutal scoring 5 on 5. Nice to see the Oilers game delayed a little (10 minutes) to ensure no switching to TSN2 or missing any action. A great SHUTOUT for Fasth and the Ducks on the road, 3-0 over the Avs. Koivu with 2 points, Selanne with an assist.

One does not crack the top-ten in all-time goal scoring without being a bit of a puck-hog these days. Jagr remains far and away the best European born hockey player of all time.

He's apparently so fast they had to add the letter "H" to his name.

Back in the day, yes. He's many years past his heyday. He got a couple of points and won it for the Stars but he looked off some passes to some very open teammates. Eventually, that will hurt them.

Tough to say he looked off some teammates with the game winner on his stick.
He probably should've assisted on his own game winner.

Is Taylor Hall becoming the forward version of Dion Phaneuf?
Tons of raw skill and athletic ability but a complete moron that lacks the intelligence to take his game to the truly elite level?
