Correct me if I am wrong, but once you've unlocked a module with XP (and purchased one) it can be put on any mech you own. You should be able to buy one and when you switch mechs, simply remove the module and add it to your current mech.

Yeah just like any mech part. Though, if you're running with a pre-made, they might get testy if you hold em up between drops to shuffle your modules and engines.

That's not so bad then, but it would make my Jenner worth about 14 million!
Right now, I have no real desire to be swapping stuff between mechs between fights. I am more concerned with deciding I want to play another class of mech for an extended time period, for whatever reason, and be out that cash.

Played a round last night and BB is awesome. However, the audio is glitchy as hell right now. Lots of sounds cutting out.

I was able to get a few games in last night, my first try at it.
Controls are hard to get used to, but otherwise it is a pretty neat game so far.
I'd love to get into an organized group and learn some strategy

Not necessarily. Are you still piloting a Commando?

I'm piloting a Hunchback. Forgot the model though.
I have two medium pulse rifles, a medium and small laser and two LRM 10s.
Yesterday was the first time playing after 2 weeks of inactivity. The one thing I've been decent, are kill assists and spot assists.

If it's the 4SP then I'd swap out the 2 LRM 10s and throw in 2 SRM 6s. Run 4 Med Lasers and as much ammo as you can cram in and watch your damage skyrocket. I think I put a 255 STD engine in mine.
If it's not or if you want to run with LRMs I'd consider dropping the small laser in favour of a TAG. That way if enemy mechs are untargetable due to being inside an ECM field you'll still be able to achieve a lock with the TAG provided you have line of sight.

LRMs are bad. Don't use LRMs.
If you have a Hunchback with Missile hardpoints, use them for SRMs or Streaks. LRMs are barely useful on Heavies/Assaults, and a waste of tonnage on Lights and Mediums.
This goes doubly so now that ECM is in the game.
Also, IT'S STALKER TIME BABY!

I'll keep that in mind when I play today. Is the 255 STD the same weight as the 200?
What about running Artemis on the SRM? Is that possible?

255 is a fair bit heavier than the 200. Artemis is good, but not *that* good. If you have an extra laser hardpoint in your torso/head, put TAG in that instead, and you'll get the same benefit as Artemis for less tonnage (or take both and have the convergence bonus stack).

It is more, but if you upgrade to endo/DHS you should be able to free up tonnage. Also, the 250/255 give you 10 engine HS versus the 8 you get with a 200. I'd avoid Artemis on SRMs as I don't notice too much of a difference with the spread. You want to get close anyway and with the engine speed boost you shouldn't have a problem hitting.

I haven't done the endo upgrade yet. I have a TAG spare ready to go. I will try that setup and see how that goes.
Where do you guys find info about the parts and builds? I still feel like a noob in this game.

The most useful page on the MWOMercs forum is here:

Considering how terrible the rest of it is, be amazed at how shockingly useful this part is.

In that case you should already have 2 SRM 6s in your inventory. The great thing about that variant is that it doesn't have the giant hunch containing all of your weapons. If you decide to swap over to DHS then you should store your ammo in your legs.
