2. Get a full refund on what I have paid, less 10% to keep my seats and when a CBA would be signed I would need to immediately catch up on my payments.
3. No refund and just stop payments all together for the future until a CBA is signed.

Talked to my Rep today as well. And they gave me these options as well.

They never emailed me back so I called today. Refund cheques for the preseason, Oct and Nov games were mailed Thursday - one of which will be mine. I asked if I could also stop payments on my monthly plan and she said no problem. She said if there is a season they will put me back on a monthly plan with a revised amount. So that is pretty sweet.

I got a refund - leaving 10% on my account for when season starts again. I like my seats and don't want to get on a wait list for nose bleeds.
Since I had paid with my credit card, refund was directly to the card.

So I'm assuming I wasn't the only one to get an email from the Flames today? They are processing the balance owing in two equal payments, one Feb 1st and one on March 1st. Wow, thanks for the one day notice! Not really happy with that, as my rep is finding out this afternoon.

Yeah, kind of a pain and lucky that we are paid up. But I can imagine some people that got refund cheques are going to be a little miffed today.
Also, don't we typically put the 10% for next season down in mid-march? Hopefully they delay that payment a bit.

??
Wouldn't you rather have the money ASAP as opposed to having lots of notice? How much notice is required in order to receive money back?
Does everyone get annoyed with everything nowadays?

I got a phone call from my rep yesterday advising that money was due.
When I asked to get my money refunded, I was told that I would have to pay the whole amount due when the season started. So, I was okay with being able to make a 50% payment on Feb 1 and 50% on Mar 1.
I assume if I was doing monthly payments, I would have been finished paying off by now.

Yes this is absurd. I emailed my rep last Monday the 21st and have yet to hear back from her other than an auto reply saying that they are busy replying to emails...seriously wtf
Code for we are to busy to reply to any customer emails unless you want to purchase "more" game day tickets or pay for golfing events, luncheons etc.
Pretty bad PR if you ask me.

So on January 13, the Flames sent out an e-mail to the STH with the following question answered:
Quote:
6) What happens to the money I have paid toward games that will not be played?
Our first priority is to deliver your tickets as quickly as possible. Following season ticket distribution, we will immediately begin the process of updating you with the status of your account. Ticket holders who have a credit will have the option to receive a refund or keep their credit on account.
|
Here we are over a month later, has anyone heard anything about refunds?

I have heard SFA about any credit or the balance of my account. It's been over a month now since the season was announced.
Maybe they need more staff

I emailed them last week and my rep said that they are hoping to contact everyone this coming week in regards to account status etc, he said you can get the refund by cheque or on your cc.

I wonder if they are delaying it a bit so it runs into March. That's the month when the renewals and playoff costs are announced. During the last few seasons I was on the 12 month plan, where the March and April payments are much larger than the other ten, due to the prospect of playoff games added in. This year I just paid it in the two chunks, and now have a credit balance. I'm guessing they will hope most people just put their credit balances into the next round of payments for this year's (hopefully) playoffs and next year's season tickets. I'll probably end up doing that, as there isn't much point to me to get a refund, and then just sent it back to them. I haven't seen a calculation and/or payment of interest from them yet.

This is interesting. Likely I too will just put it towards next years season or playoff tickets. I've been too excited to go to games that it was on my back burner.
