Drunk driver hit my Touareg last week, and wrote off her Ford Escape. My Touareg is pretty messed up, but it's nowhere near the same level of damage as the Ford.
I understand that the front end of vehicles are designed to crumple when they hit something, but I had no idea Ford designs tires to shear off the axle. I had good laugh when I put the pics up on Facebook and a pal of mine (who is a Ford salesman) said I should come in to talk to him if my car was written off.

As long as nobody get's hurt the car has done it's job. It's the bottom line. And Ford didn't design the tires BTW.
