The Ubisoft guy just confirmed it was running on a high-end PC.

Good news for me! Hope it's released on PC alongside the consoles with the improved graphics.

Well, it was either on the 360 or on PC with a 360 gamepad.

The graphics won't look nearly that good on the consoles, unfortunately.

I don't know I think we are just being exposed to everything as it happens due to the internet and that leaves no big "surprises" for E3.

For example usually things like the new GOW, AC3, Last of Us, etc would have been games that would have blown our minds at E3 but now we have seen countless trailers and leaks due to the way we get data instantly now.

The reason both Watch Dogs, and Beyond have received such positive feedback is because it is truly the first time we have seen either of those games.

I have a friend who works at Ubi Toronto, and he said even they didn't know about Watch Dogs (developed @ Ubi Montreal). They did an exceptional job keeping it a secret.

I knew this E3 would have very little surprises and would be mainly game announcements. As a Sony fan I'm pleased with what's coming down the pipe. I'm now more of a 3 games/year kind of gamer nowadays, so I'm quite happy. Beyond, The Last of Us and NHL are probably more than enough for me for a good long while.

One thing I am now considering more than before E3 is PSN+. If they are just going to be dumping full games on that thing for essentially the cost of one game per year? The PS3 has a shelf life of probably only 3-4 more years, so that's not exactly a huge expense to take on over that time frame. When it was just some decreased cost for DLC I wasn't terribly interested, but 12 free games in June plus more scattered throughout the year is probably enough for me to part with $60. I'm such a slow gamer now that by the time games become available I've likely been unable to try them.

It also has to do with Watch Dogs being one of the more original games.

Halo 4, done...
GOW.... done
Tomb Raider/Star wars 1313... done already (uncharted).

Almost every game was a sequel, people get bored of the same old same old.

Should be fun. I had some great times in PlanetSide and this one is going to be F2P.

I think the reason why this E3 is so terrible is because next year we are getting a new Playstation and Xbox and a lot of developers are working on games for those consoles. This is my theory anyway. There is usually more announced than like 2 new games.

Nothing to jump about today. Sucks, Nintendo dropped the ball big time.

That game looks sooo detailed and great.
I've already pre-ordered AC3 and I'll probably go looking to pre-order this as well seems pretty awesome.

Why do people pre-order? I've never done and don't understand why you would. Is it cheaper?

Sometimes, yes. Other times there are in-game bonuses and stuff.

As a posted earlier, apparently a Rockstar emloyee hinted/leaked that GTAV will be released in October of 2012.

If this is true, I am one happy guy.

Geez, going through this thread I was hoping for some major announcements and some cool games but... nothing... I guess they are all gearing up for Next gen systems next year?

Really? The Last of Us, Beyond and Watchdogs all look to be better than any of the games announced over the last few years imo.

Didn't you see SING! Its a console Karaoke game!

I am still shocked at how awkward that "party" presentation was. I can't fathom how awkward it must have been in the room, considering I was awkward watching it from home.

WiiU will probably be out by this Christmas. Nobody knows about the other two, but I'd expect that neither will want Nintendo to get a 2 year jump, so I'd think they'll each announce next summer and release in the holiday season 5 months later.

If you just want the plain old game and no special edition stuff, you don't really need to preorder. I usually preorder games that aren't going to ship as many copies because they aren't as popular. They tend to disappear quickly and get very few in after the initial shipment.
